Criminal Appeals

A state or federal conviction does not always signify the end of a criminal case for a defendant. Commonly, errors are made during trial or sentencing that warrant reversal or a reduction in the sentence. There may have been legal issues not identified or appropriately argued by your original attorney, or objections made that were overruled by the trial court. For many of our clients, their original attorney failed to identify potential sentencing mitigation factors in the Federal District Court, or failed to preserve issues during the original trial. That lack of attention may have resulted in a higher sentence, the legality of which can be addressed by the Court of Appeals.

Even though The Federal Law Group may not have represented you in the trial court, we can represent you in the Court of Appeals. Please know that timing is important as there is a statute of limitations for general appeals. It is, therefore, imperative for you to contact us immediately for a review of your case.
